I am a Digital Designer specializing in web development. During the day you can find me designing and building out websites, landing pages, and animated HTML5 banner ads. I love getting inspired by the work of other creative thinkers and figuring out new ways to make your web experience more engaging.
Outside of work I am equally as passionate about digital illustration, and I am constantly working into the late hours on backgrounds, environments, and character story projects. When I’m not creating I also love gardening, spending time with my cats, and trying out new places for Mexican food!
I’m a person who is always looking for their next challenge. I take pride in my work, my passion for knowledge and my ability to commit things to memory. It allows me to keep track of many moving parts simultaneously and to adapt to things as they come. I’m always in the pursuit of knowledge to further understand the world so that I can better share my own knowledge with those around me. This is why I love connecting businesses to their customers through all forms of digital marketing.
When I’m not working or viewing content, I spend my time inside playing video games, outdoors on the lake, running, hiking, or planning my next adventure. I love any chance to have a new experience and make a memory.
I believe Chicago is the greatest city in the world.
I believe in using design to amplify hope and healing.
I believe I’m renewed by coffee shops & the lakefront.
As a designer, I thrive when challenged to develop innovative solutions across multiple platforms. When I’m not designing, you’ll find me planning my next adventure, working on my green thumb, or enjoying some of my favorite tacos in Chicago.
These days I’m aligning my lifestyle with sustainability, partially by getting involved with Chicago’s sustainable luxury Bide Market. Ask me about the steps I’m taking to produce less waste!
Graduating college doesn’t mean you have life figured out. If anything, it throws you into the deep end and tells you to swim. Thankfully for me, I was quick to land at Michael Coleman LLC. I have spent the last five years working for our wide portfolio of clients, developing communication and design skills that can only be taught in the professional world.
Time spent outside of work is just as fulfilling and even more varied, divided as it is between movies, books, and roleplaying games. Knowing the difference between ability checks and saving throws is important in art school (as foundational as kerning vs leading), so rest assured that your design needs are handled by a trained professional.
Growing up amid my family’s Bay Area coffee company, I developed a special place in my heart for boutique businesses. After graduating from San Jose State University with a degree in graphic design and moving to Chicago, my career began in an e-commerce startup as a digital designer, front end web developer and marketer. Despite my initial focus on digital work, my soft spot for all things print has resulted in an ever-evolving hoard of nicely designed print collateral that I collect and use as daily inspiration.
As the pinball capital of the world, Chicago quickly tapped into my unbridled passion for the game. When I’m not designing, you will most likely find me competing in a local tournament. I even keep a small collection of machines at home.
A curious spirit, music buff, and designer with a unique and practical skill set, ranging from print design to coding. Nine to five I am churning out HTML emails and websites, while my free time consists of drumming, music blogging, video games, and keeping up with the vast Chicago food scene.
My time at Michael Coleman Creative Services has enabled me to carve out a peculiar and versatile role as a marketer, handling many different web-based systems and processes while always learning new tools and ways to troubleshoot to whatever obstacle is inevitably around the corner.
